First Light Capital is an early stage venture capital fund investing in exceptional entrepreneurs who have the talent and drive to build successful, high growth companies in rapidly expanding markets. We focus on early stage product and service companies in enterprise software and integration, communications and business-to-business e-commerce in the Boston area. Our principals bring over thirty years of experience in software, information technology and venture investing.

We initially invest $200,000 to $500,000 in a single financing and take an active role on the company's Board of Directors. Investments from our current fund include Metatomix, Incipient, Kurzweil Educational Systems, The Reference and the Aberdeen Group. Through our fund or as individuals we are currently invested in over 10 private early-stage or mid-stage companies.
